Backyard and Ponds
The picture above and two on the right are of the decorative pond (approximately 1,000 gallons) which is located between two oak trees in the center of our backyard.
Pictured above is the (above ground) swimming pool before landscaping.

The 2 pictures on the right are after landscaping.  Now, the pool is well camouflaged using palm fronds, a live palm tree and banana trees in the foreground.
The above picture is at the early stages of establishing pool vegetation.  Note the floating bog in the foreground.

See Technical tab for more details regarding the bog.

The picture top right is further along in vegetation establishment and in lush summer growth.

Bottom right shows our side storage yard and the 4 inch 'thin wall' PVC pipe which brings water to the pool from the roof gutter system.
Above left is the backyard before landscaping (with the large pool in the corner).  Between the trees is a pile of rocks that will be the waterfall pond.  Photo to the right is the same view after renovation.
Another before photo (left), note there is no grass growing here; and the after photo (right), where the yard comprises patio stone/bricks, pea gravel, and mulched plant beds.
From a different angle the before (left), and after shot (right).
To the left is our view out the dining room window after we installed new energy efficient windows.
On the right is Susan doing Yoga with Zac our dog.
